How to Find Your Ring Size Without a Trip to the Jeweller

Three easy ways to measure at home, plus the mistakes that most often lead to a ring that doesn't fit.

In this article · 4 sections

A comfortable fit makes all the difference. Here are three reliable ways to find a ring size at home.

#1. Measure a ring that already fits

Measure the inside diameter of a ring worn on the same finger, in millimetres, and compare it with our ring size chart.

#2. Use a strip of paper

Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimetres. That's your finger's circumference.

#3. Ask us for a ring sizer

If you're unsure, contact us — we're happy to help you measure correctly before you order.

#Common mistakes

  • Measuring when your hands are cold — fingers are smaller.
  • Forgetting the knuckle — the ring must slide over it.
  • Choosing the same size for a wide band — wider bands often need half a size up.
