Diamonds attract oil from skin, lotion and soap — which is why they lose their sparkle over time. The good news: it comes back with a simple clean.
#What you'll need
- A bowl of warm (not hot) water
- A few drops of mild dish soap
- A soft toothbrush
- A lint-free cloth
#The four steps
Soak for 15–20 minutes. Brush gently, especially behind the stone where dirt collects. Rinse under warm running water — with the drain closed. Dry with a soft cloth.
#What to avoid
- Toothpaste and baking soda — they can scratch metal.
- Chlorine and harsh household cleaners.
- Ultrasonic cleaners for pieces with fragile or treated stones.
